Finding Adam Finding Eve (FAFE) is a Catholic formation ministry for unmarried adults ages 21-39 who are seeking to understand how to live out the call to true and lasting love. Founded by Katie and Michael Palitto, FAFE provides theological formation, practical dating skills, and community support for Catholic singles discerning the vocation of marriage. This is not a matchmaking service or a singles mixer — it is a formation community grounded in Theology of the Body, the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person, and a structured four-document formation series that walks participants from foundational teachings through practical dating guidance.
The Deeper Story
My husband Michael and I started this ministry because we saw a gap that no one was filling. Catholic singles were being told “just pray about it” or handed a dating app and wished good luck. But the truth is, the purpose of this ministry is to gather unmarried individuals who seek to understand how to live out the call to true and lasting love. Many of us find it difficult to navigate the single life and may feel confused and alone as to how to be in right relationship with those we are discerning intimate friendship with.
So we built something different. This is not a singles community. This is a community of people who seek formation and to answer the vocational call of marriage by following Jesus. We dive into St. John Paul II’s work from Theology of the Body and Love and Responsibility. Pope Francis’ Joy of Love (Amoris Laetitia) helps teach us about developing loving and impactful marriages and families. And we use the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person — a framework that gives a rich comprehensive understanding of the nature of the person — to help you see yourself clearly before you try to give yourself to someone else.
Our formation rests on four documents: Foundational Teachings, Expanded Theological Teachings, a Practical Dating Guide, and a Common Struggles guide. Together, they cover what you need to know and what you need to heal.
What This Means for Your Dating Life
To date successfully as a Catholic seeking marriage, you must understand: who you are, what love really is, what marriage really is, and what to look for in yourself and in a potential spouse. That’s what FAFE exists to teach you. We don’t hand you a list of eligible Catholics. We prepare you to recognize the right person — and to be the right person — when God brings them into your life.
This is a safe place to lean in, to share, and to make friendships. But the most important reason for being here is to find Jesus’ love for us. Everything else flows from that.
